The FSF yesterday launched their Score Campaign: Twenty’s Plenty for Away Tickets, in central Manchester having invited the fans of all football clubs in the UK to attend and support the Campaign.
The objective of the campaign is for Clubs in England and Wales to agree to charge no more than £20 (£15 for concessions) for away match tickets especially as the financial onus is mainly on away fans due to travel and subsistence costs when travelling. A number of campaigns and petitions by the fans of many clubs around the UK have already been created and the FSF plan to bring all these together under the Score campaign.
Manchester City recently returned 900 tickets for their recent visit to Arsenal with the cost per ticket being in excess of £60 each. Fans have long known that football is becoming unaffordable to many, so the campaign is clearly in the interest of every football fan.
You can attend the London launch event on Thursday 31st January with tickets available at Tickets@fsf.org.uk.
You can use the same address to get involved or to Volunteer. Please include your name, club and city/town of residence.
