      ‘Time For Change’

When Leeds fans speak, at least one board listens to them

The Leeds United Supporters’ Trust’s message is now displayed outside Elland Road for the fans to see, after our new advert was unveiled this morning.

The advert reads, ‘Leeds United Supporters’ Trust believe our club should match the ambition of our fans,’ and asks fans to join the Trust, which now has over 8,000 members.

With a prime position outside the main entrance to the East Stand on Lowfields Road, the advert will be in place for an initial period of a month, during which time it will be seen by thousands of visitors to Elland Road.

Several of our members had suggested that L.U.S.T. should use spaces around Elland Road to make our message about the need for positive change at Leeds United more widely known. Acting on these ideas, the Trust board worked with local company City Ads to find the right location for an advert. Graphic designer Wayne Gamble (The Beaten Generation) produced the artwork for us, and the sign was put in place on Saturday 15th September. We think the advert is a great example of how, by listening to our members and working with local companies, L.U.S.T. can make things happen at Elland Road.

Although the new advert was not toasted by a win for Leeds at Cardiff, we hope it will bring more luck to Neil Warnock and his players in the upcoming games against Hull, Nottingham Forest and Everton.

Excellent work from the Trust again, I'd love to see Bates's face when he see this. Although I fully expect it to have been "vandalised" by then, but I also expect the Trust to have a contingency plan in place for this!

Mr Cooper you stated a day or two ago you were awaiting official confirmation that things had moved forward... any news? The poster idea is the dogs b*ll*cks by the way!

love the poster but hopefully ken will be gone well before the month is up and hopefully the new owners will be more receptive to the message

marcco62 we have heard nothing since last week however we dont believe talks were ongoing during the weekend so we didnt expect to hear anything new.

to be honest i hope all the people involved in this are more concerned with getting the deal done than talking to us or anyone else!

What's the point in this? As always just stating the obvious. I really can't see what this advert is aiming to achieve. I would love to know what your thinking is on it.

we are trying to get our message out to the wider fan base that perhaps dont uderstand the trusts campaign for change, quite simple really. it maybe obvious to you but its not obvious to all.

Good work LUST - keep it up.

What's next guys? There's a lot of talk of a match boycott on fans sites - I think the time right for something spectacular to not only get Bates' attention but also to raise national awareness of the catastrophe that's happening at Leeds United.

I've been a season ticket holder since 1982 but will happily stand outside the ground for one game for the greater good.

      Love Leeds - Hate Bates.

To all at LUST and all that is leeds related:

Very grateful you sent me the report about leeds as i have been a leeds u. fan since i was seven years of age. Hate to see whats going on at the moment. I have a suggestion to make if that's
okay with you why is the report just published not sent in to the English FA so that the old goat bates is investigated. God knows it's not the first time he's put leeds utd into the mire case in point was when he put leeds into administration when they were relegated from the championship for insolvency related matters meaning that he bates is an old fraudster who should be put out of business permanently and if that means doing whatever is necessary to protect whats left of leeds reputation. I don't like having to say this because it could be that leeds end up like Glasgow Rangers and are relegated to the bottom tier of english football but it would mean that they could start from scratch albeit from the bottom tier. Ive no doubt if these middle eastern investors were serious about taking over the club they would get them at a cheaper price and bring in the best players possible to get us back where we belong back to the top tier of english football which is where they should be.

      Yours sincerely,
Die Hard leeds fan living in the republic of ireland
